Synopsis

Acclaimed writer/director John Sayles (LONE STAR, PASSION FISH) brings the birth of rock ‘n’ roll to life with electrifying effect in HONEYDRIPPER.

Tyrone Purvis is a bar owner down on his luck. To drum-up business, he enlists the services of the legendary Guitar Sam. What he gets will forever change his Saturday nights, but threatens to raise demons from the past that could destroy his future.

With a stunning soundtrack and a stellar cast, including Danny Glover, Charles S. Dutton, Stacey Keach and Mary Steenburgen, as well as performances by Motown legend Dr. Mable John, Keb’ Mo’ and rising star Gary Clark Jr., HONEYDRIPPER is a rock ‘n’ roll story as it has never been told before.

An accompanying booklet features John Sayles’ short story, ‘Keeping Time’, which inspired HONEYDRIPPER.
