Award winning director of photography Lol Crawley (Four Lions) will participate in a Q&A after a special screening of Lance Hammer's directorial debut BALLAST, on Tuesday 19 April at 8.20pm at the Tyneside Cinema Newcastle.
BALLAST opened 18 Mar and has played at cinemas across the UK on a wave of critical acclaim. Winner of Best Film and Best Cinematography at the Sundance Film Festival 2008, BALLAST has been described as "...a mightily impressive debut..." by Little White Lies while Empire Magazine rated it FOUR STARS calling it "...beautiful.."
Lol Crawley's stunning scope ratio cinematography is undoubtedly a highlight of the film and he will discuss his working methods and ideas tonight at the Tyneside Cinema Newcastle.
BALLAST is on DVD from 25 April 2011 and is released by Axiom Films.
