UK producer / distributor Axiom Films has acquired two new award winning films following the Sundance Film Festival in Park City.

CONTRACORRIENTE (Undertow) from Peru is the impressive debut film of Javier Fuentes-Leon and won the 2010 Sundance World Cinema Audience Award.

ZONA SUR (Southern District) by Juan Carlos Valdivia was Bolivia’s entry for this year’s foreign language Oscar and won the Best Director and Best Screenplay awards in the World Cinema section at Sundance 2010.

Both titles were acquired from Los Angeles-based Shoreline Entertainment with deals concluded at the recent Berlin Film Festival.
